AI agent readiness check: can AI shopping agents read, reach and buy from your store?
Enter your store address. We open it the way an AI shopping agent does, from the public web with no login and no JavaScript, and show every check as it runs. You get readable, reachable and buyable scores, the product pages we read, the evidence for each line, and what to fix first. Free, about a minute, no email.
Three questions every merchant should ask before agents shop on a customer's behalf.
Readable
Can an agent read the correct product, price and availability? Up to five product pages: one product block in the code behind the page, with a price, a currency and a stock state that agree with what the page shows. On Shopify we also compare the structured data with the storefront's own product API, because the two often disagree.
Reachable
Can an agent find the catalogue and the supported tools? robots.txt for 14 AI user agents, including the ones that shop for a customer. The sitemap your robots.txt points to, llms.txt, and the platform's agent endpoint: Shopify's per-store endpoint, BigCommerce's Storefront MCP setting, Adobe Commerce's storefront endpoint.
Buyable
Can a shopper get from a basket to your existing checkout? The cart page answers, and the refund, privacy, terms and shipping pages are linked from the homepage, which is what Shopify's agent channels look for.
Check first. Then let browser agents in.
This page
Sample up to five product pages. Check prices, stock signals, crawler access, discoverability and the path to checkout, with the evidence shown line by line. Share the result page or put the badge on your site, and run it again after each fix.

Early access to Vortex IQ WebMCP tools for BigCommerce Stencil, Magento Open Source, Mage-OS and Adobe Commerce storefronts on supported Luma and Hyvä themes: catalogue search, product facts, real basket actions and a handoff to your existing checkout. Request WebMCP early accessNo card is needed for the sample check. Agent-completed payment is not included: the shopper finishes in your checkout. Other storefront architectures need a separate assessment. The full checklist, with the fix for each item on Shopify, BigCommerce and Adobe Commerce, is in the agent-ready store audit article.
What it reads, what it keeps, what it is not.
What it reads
Only the public pages of the address you enter, the same pages a shopper or a crawler can already see. Nothing behind a login, no orders, no analytics.
What it keeps
The latest result for that store address, so the result page and badge can be shared and compared after a fix. Email privacy@vortexiq.ai to have a result removed.
What it is not
A ranking or a score out of 100. It is a list of facts an AI shopping agent would trip over, counted as passed of applicable, in the order you should fix them.
Before you run it.
Is the AI agent readiness check really free?
Yes. No card, no email, no account. You enter a store address and watch the check run. The result page for that address is public, so you can send it to whoever will do the fixes.
Which platforms does it work on?
Any store on the public web. The check recognises Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento and Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce and Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and adapts the cart and agent endpoint checks to each. A store it cannot identify still gets the readable, reachable and buyable checks.
My store passes Google's rich results test. Why does it fail here?
Google's test validates one block at a time. AI shopping agents read the whole page. Two product blocks that disagree on price or stock both validate and still leave an agent guessing, so we count the blocks and compare what they say, then compare that with the storefront's own product data.
Why not a score out of 100?
A single number hides what to do. Every line here names its evidence, counted as passed of applicable per section, so a developer can act on it without a second tool. The fix-first list is the order to work in.
What does the check not see?
Anything rendered only by JavaScript. If your prices or stock appear after scripts run, this check does not see them, and neither do most AI shopping agents. Treat that as a finding. It also cannot see a BigCommerce store's Storefront MCP setting from outside, so that line asks you to confirm it in the control panel.
What happens after the check?
Fix the items yourself with the checklist article, or request the full free Health Check, which reads more of the store and ranks findings by likely commercial impact. BigCommerce, Magento Open Source, Mage-OS and Adobe Commerce stores can also request WebMCP early access, so browser agents can search the catalogue, update the basket and hand over to the existing checkout. If you want this watched continuously rather than checked once, the Foundation plan starts at £499 a month in the UK and $499 in the US, with two months free on an annual plan.
Plans and what each includes are on the pricing page.
