Product

What Vortex IQ is and how it works.

What it is

Vortex IQ is an AI workforce made up of six specialist crews. Each crew is organised around a specific job involved in growing or operating an ecommerce business.

The crews work with defined permissions, approval controls and human oversight.

Commerce platforms

Vortex IQ supports BigCommerce, Shopify, Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source, with WooCommerce support available for selected workflows.

Available actions, staging capabilities and rollback options depend on the commerce platform, connected systems, permissions and workflow. These are confirmed during onboarding.

Connectors

The Vortex IQ connector catalogue contains more than 200 connectors across commerce, advertising, analytics, content, payments and operations.

The presence of a connector in the catalogue does not necessarily mean that every read or write action is available. Capabilities depend on the connected platform, its APIs and the permissions granted by the customer.

Approvals

Production changes require human approval by default.

A customer may explicitly authorise a bounded automation to perform specified actions without individual approval. The permitted scope, approval policy and resulting actions are recorded by Vortex IQ.

Possible outcomes

A Vortex IQ task concludes with one or more clearly recorded outcomes:

  • A proposal is prepared for review.
  • A pull request is opened.
  • An approved change is applied.
  • An undo point is created where the platform and workflow support it.
  • Guided steps are provided when the change requires human action.
  • The result is checked and recorded separately.

Vortex IQ does not describe a proposed change as a completed result.

Pricing

Vortex IQ offers a 14-day free trial.

The Foundation plan starts from $399 or £399 per month when billed annually, or $499 or £499 when billed monthly. Higher plans add capabilities including SEO and GEO workflows, additional connectors, longer data retention and dedicated support.

Customer data

Customer data is processed for that customer's own findings, recommendations and authorised actions.

Vortex IQ does not use one customer's private data to train models for another customer. Data processing, storage locations, subprocessors and applicable safeguards are governed by the customer agreement and Vortex IQ's data-processing terms.

The AI crews

Six specialist crews, each responsible for a defined area of ecommerce work.

Pulse: Store Health

Pulse scans the storefront, catalogue, configuration and connected systems for issues affecting revenue or operations.

Each verified problem is written as a ready-to-fix finding explaining what is wrong, why it matters, the supporting evidence and the proposed change. A separate verification step challenges the finding before it is presented to the merchant.

Beacon: SEO and AI Visibility

Beacon runs a 12-step SEO and GEO process across the merchant's catalogue and content.

It helps make products and pages easier to understand across traditional search, image search and AI-powered shopping experiences.

Compass: Ads Performance

Compass reads connected Google Ads, Meta Ads and commerce data to identify performance issues and growth opportunities.

It connects each recommendation to the relevant commercial evidence and can execute approved, bounded campaign and budget actions where supported.

Muse: Store Experience

Muse uses a real browser to experience the store as a customer.

It tests journeys such as navigation, search, account access, product discovery, basket and checkout. Screenshots and test results provide the evidence. Failed journeys become findings that can be reviewed and resolved.

CodeCraft: Store Development

CodeCraft is the development and resolution crew.

Approved findings from any crew can be routed to CodeCraft. The crew classifies the work as an API change, content change, code change or guided resolution.

Depending on the task and platform, CodeCraft produces an applied change with an undo point, a pull request for review or clear guided steps. Work produced by the build crew is challenged by a separate review process before completion.

Bridge: Migration and Recovery

Bridge provides migration, staging and recovery capabilities.

It supports catalogue and store migrations with before-and-after verification, alongside the restore points and rollback capabilities used to protect supported changes.

How the workforce operates

Every crew is powered by the same six platform capabilities.

  1. Nerve Centre: Reads signals from the store and connected systems.
  2. Vortex Mind: Analyses, explains and verifies what matters.
  3. Ask Viq: Lets the merchant question, review, approve and schedule work.
  4. Vortex Agents: Performs bounded specialist tasks.
  5. Vortex Apps: Provides staging, deployment, backup and rollback capabilities.
  6. Vortex Memory: Records verified knowledge, previous work and measured outcomes.

Automations govern when work runs, what it may access, who approves it and what must be recorded.

The crews do not directly hold merchant credentials. Authorised access and actions are managed through the Vortex IQ control plane.

Measured results

Published outcomes with their scope and limitations.

Results vary by merchant, platform, starting position, connectors, permissions and scope. Individual outcomes should not be interpreted as a guarantee of future performance.

Store audits

Across more than 60 store audits, Vortex IQ recorded 749 issues. Approximately 55% were classified as potentially resolvable through an agentic workflow.

“Potentially resolvable” means that an agentic route was identified. It does not mean that every change was approved, implemented or subsequently proven to deliver a commercial result.
