Agency reporting

Client reports built from the client’s own data, joined so each source checks the others.

Every platform reports only what it can see, and each one flatters itself. Google Ads and Meta both claim the same order. GA4 sees sessions but not the money banked. The store knows the money but not how the shopper arrived. An agency that reports from one of them at a time inherits the flattery. Vortex IQ pulls every connected source over one aligned window and reports what none of them will admit on its own.

Three reporting surfaces

What an agency gets, and how often.

Always on

Portfolio view

Every client store in one place: connectors, open findings by crew, what is waiting for approval, and what was applied, with the undo point recorded. The approval seat stays with the agency where the agency brought the merchant.

Weekly, on a schedule

Agency trading brief

An Automation that runs inside the scope you approve and writes a short weekly brief per client: revenue and orders against the prior period, alerts raised by Store Health, findings opened and closed, and anything that needs a decision.

Periodic

Cross-channel growth analysis

The report shown below. Commerce platform, GA4, Search Console and ad accounts joined on one window, with numbered findings, the money attached to each, and the crew that would act on it.

Availability of each surface follows the client’s connected platforms and connectors. The workflow availability record is the source for what each crew can read and do per platform.

Sample report

A real cross-channel analysis for a BigCommerce merchant, anonymised.

Produced in 2026 for a specialist retailer on BigCommerce over a twelve-month window. The merchant is anonymised as Northgate Supplies and every figure has been scaled by a fixed factor, so ratios hold and no real number survives. Structure, findings and method are exactly as delivered.

Sample report cover and executive summary with revenue, average order value, sessions, organic clicks, ad spend and tracking accuracy tiles
Executive summary. Five sources, one aligned year. The summary tiles show revenue, orders, sessions, organic clicks, ad spend and what share of revenue GA4 actually captured.
Sample report section showing where the revenue comes from by channel and device
Where the revenue comes from. Channel and device split from the store’s own orders, set against what each ad platform claims.
Sample report findings section with numbered findings and the evidence for each
Findings. Fifteen numbered findings in this report, each with the evidence and the money attached: unrecorded landing pages, checkout completion, ad platforms claiming 69% of revenue, products with no description, recoverable carts.
Sample report section explaining how Vortex IQ crews would act on each finding
How Vortex IQ delivers this. Each finding is mapped to the crew that owns it and the outcome it would reach, with a person approving.

What the report contains

  1. Executive summary: five sources, one aligned year, the two problems that matter most
  2. The measurement problem: reported versus real conversion rate, cart abandonment, ad platforms claiming credit
  3. What is working
  4. Where the revenue comes from, by channel and device
  5. The organic opportunity: commercial terms on page one but barely clicked, demand the shop pages cannot satisfy
  6. Findings, numbered, each with the evidence and the money attached
  7. The channel nobody is working on: AI assistants, which ones, and what they are worth
  8. How Vortex IQ delivers this: which crew owns each finding and what it would do
  9. How this was produced: sources, window, joins and limits

Figures in a client’s own report are never scaled; they are the client’s data as pulled, with the window and sources stated. The method section is part of every report so the client can check the joins.

Why it changes the conversation

From hours used to money found.

Measurement first

In the sample, the ad platforms claimed 69% of all store revenue on 4.6% of revenue spent, which is arithmetically impossible. A client that sees that once stops arguing about the retainer and starts asking what to fix.

Findings, not dashboards

Every finding carries the evidence and an estimate of the money at stake, and names the crew that would act on it. Estimates are labelled as estimates; measured results come later from the client’s own analytics.

A path to the fix

Findings can be sent to Store Health for verification and on to Store Development. On BigCommerce today, approved API and content changes are applied with an undo point; theme changes arrive as pull requests for your developers.

Common questions

Agency reporting, answered.

Where does the data in the report come from?

From the connectors the client has already authorised in Vortex IQ: the commerce platform (BigCommerce, Shopify, Adobe Commerce or WooCommerce), GA4, Search Console and the ad accounts. Every source is pulled over one aligned date window so the figures can be checked against each other. The method section of each report lists the sources, the window and the joins.

Can I put my agency's name on it?

Yes. Agency partners can deliver weekly health checks, incident summaries and the cross-channel analysis under their own branding. The sample on this page carries Vortex IQ branding because it was produced for a direct engagement.

Is the sample on this page a real merchant?

It is a real report produced for a BigCommerce merchant in 2026 with the merchant anonymised and every figure scaled by a fixed factor. The structure, the findings and the method are unchanged. Nothing on this page identifies the merchant.

How often can a report be produced?

The cross-channel growth analysis is a periodic report, typically quarterly or at the start of an engagement. The weekly trading brief is an Automation that runs on a schedule inside the scope you approve. Both are recorded in the client's workspace.

Does the report make changes to the client's store?

No. It reads. Findings in the report can be sent to the crews, and any change then follows the normal path: a person on the client side or at the agency approves it, and the outcome is recorded with an undo point where the platform supports one.
